How to Participate

With The Puppy Fairy you will enhance the overall “Puppy Day Experience” with a little magic and lots of fun. She can help you teach your kids responsible puppy care and instill ownership that will outlast the new puppy phase.

Step 1:
You’ve picked out your puppy and you might have a waiting period before they
arrive. You get to decide how many days The Puppy Fairy will visit. Maybe she
only comes for 1 or 2 nights, or perhaps you want to play for 10 nights.

In the book, she visits for 7 nights, but It’s completely customizable based on
your adoption situation.

Step 2:
Order your essentials

  • A copy of The Puppy Fairy by Douglas Lee
  • All the toys, bones, treats, leash, collar, bowls, etc.

Step 3:
Read the book with your kids and find a place for The Puppy Fairy Box where
she’ll easily find it.

If applicable, you can place a picture of the puppy in the box so they know who’s
arriving. Now’s a good time to start talking about names and where they’ll sleep
and all the fun stuff.

It might be fun to write her a letter and since she has such a long journey, you
could leave out some water and treats.

Step 4:
After the kids go to bed, The Puppy Fairy puts some toys in the Puppy Fairy Box for the puppy. Then in the morning, the kids get to check the box to see what she left inside.

Repeat this for as many nights as you like.

Step 5:
It’s “Puppy Day” and the new pup arrives! Now The Puppy Fairy Box becomes
the puppy’s toybox to contain all those toys.

Have fun and enjoy all the new puppy memories you’re creating!
